I Left My Heart in San Francisco

So I haven't written in awhile now, ever since I moved in. The move was relatively good. Made good timing from SF to Irvine, got slightly irritated with my mom, spacious room, nice roommate...living the good life, right??? I haven't really made any friends yet; I guess it's because I haven't spent much time here at UCI and I really haven't made an effort. I mean I know I'm an interesting person and I would make a good friend, but I feel sort of anti-social right now. I like being in my room and just talking to my roommate, who is really friendly and open. I'm not ready to let new people into my world. I'm not ready for school to start. I'm so nervous that I'm going to fall behind in my classes immediately; I feel unprepared. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get to know my campus and mingle more...maybe. On another note, I've officially been a vegetarian for two days now. I was at Jack in the Box and was pondering to myself like I always do "Hmm what should I order?" Then it hit me. I can't eat meat; not that I can't, more like I choose not to. It's going to take some time to adjust to being a vegetarian because I need to actively think about not getting meat or seafood. Well, I guess that narrows down my choices and can make me less indecisicive, only because I would lack options. Anyway I think I'll go to sleep now. I've been staying up way too late and sleeping way too little. I miss San Francisco and my friends. I miss seeing them everyday. Maybe I'll go to sleep and starting college will all be a dream. When I wake up, I'll be back in my bed in San Francisco.
